Calling all LEGOmaniacs! Unleash your imagination by designing and constructing an original LEGO creation. Prizes awarded in several age categories House of Heroes is sponsoring a "Super Hero Robots" category and Oshkosh Corporation's special category is "Boldy go where no one has gone before: design a vehicle or machine that takes you to places or overcomes obstacles.

LEGOmania Design Contest 2025

Oshkosh Public Library
 

1. All creations must use LEGO, DUPLO or MEGABLOCKS bricks.  
2. No other materials are permitted in the creation of your entry. LEGO figures can be included in your design.
3. LEGO entries should be no bigger than 12 x 24 inches and no taller than 12 inches.
4. Entries must be your own creation. Designs from LEGO kits or websites will not be accepted.
5. Team entries permitted. Team entries will be judged in the category of the oldest participant.
6. One entry per participant or team.
7. 1st & 2nd place winners will be awarded in the following categories:
   1. 3-4 years old
   2. 5-6 years old
   3. 7-8 years old
   4. 9-10 years old
   5. 11-12 years old
   6. 13-17 years old
   7. 18 and older
8. Judges will also grant two Judges’ Choice awards for entries in the following categories:
   1. Robot Super Heroes  - sponsored by House of Heroes 
   2. Boldy Go Where No One Has Gone Before: Design a vehicle or machine that takes you to new places or overcomes obstacles. 
9. Family members of judges or contest organizers are not eligible to be judged, but their creations may still be displayed.

SUBMISSIONS ACCEPTED

Monday, March 3 - Thursday, March 27: Adults feel free to bring in creations to be displayed to inspire younger creators!
Thursday, March 27, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.: Youth submissions
Winners announced on Fri., March 28 at 12:00 in the library’s lower level. They will be published on the library’s website the following Monday.  

Generously sponsored by our friends at Camera Casino, and inspired by local photographer Michael Esslinger's powerful images showcased in his book, Oshkosh Quiet, this year's annual photography contest asked image makers to capture the quiet essence of our small town.

Creature Carnival is an annual contest that asks kids and teens to stretch their imaginations and craft an original creature that exists only in their imaginations! This year's entries are a parade of creativity brought to you by our community's very talented kids and families.
