How to Date Old Photos

Scott Jorgenson, President of the Omro Historical Society, reveals the secrets to dating old photographs. Find the clues in your photos such as hair styles, clothing, photographer info, and background props. 

The second part of his presentation is reviewing images from photographs that the audience has brought for him to analyze and discuss. If you have a question on what year your photograph was taken, he will be able to tell you the approximate year by what the subjects are wearing, their hairdos or buildings/architecture in the background.

The public is encouraged to bring their own photo for the “show and tell” portion of the presentation.
