A Celebration of Community and Stories

Since 2014, UW Oshkosh students in instructor Grace Lim’s class, Telling Stories for Fun, Profit and World Peace, have gathered and shared more than 4,000 powerful stories on the Humans of Oshkosh Facebook page. These personal narratives, generously shared by people from all walks of life, explore themes of love and war, hope and despair, joy and sorrow - and everything in between.

This year, Humans of Oshkosh is partnering with the library to honor our 125th anniversary of our William Waters' designed library. As part of the celebration, a special photo and story exhibit will be on display under the Dome, featuring some of the most memorable Humans of Oshkosh stories from the past decade - including those discovered right here at the library.

Two display panels will showcase photos and stories, with one panel dedicated entirely to library-related stories. Copies of past Humans of Oshkosh books will also be available to browse or purchase. Proceeds benefit the Humans of Oshkosh Fund at the UWO Foundation.
