Event Details

Translators is a short film that spotlights the responsibility, dedication, and work done by bilingual children who act as their parent’s translators.

Following the film, a panel of community members who have taken on a translator role in their family, share their story. Participate in a discussion about the role of translators and the importance of eliminating barriers for non-English speaking adults.

This event is hosted by the Winnebago Area Literacy Council and UWO Chicana/o & Latinx Studies.
