Oshkosh Public Library is pleased to offer free Notary services at the 2nd floor reference desk by appointment only. To make an appointment, please call (920) 236-5205 or complete this form to reserve a time. Please keep in mind the following:

  • You must bring a photo ID. Documents cannot be notarized unless the person signing the document presents photo identification.
  • Do not sign documents ahead of time. Documents cannot be notarized unless the notary witnesses the act of signing.
  • You must bring your own witnesses if the document needs to have witness signatures.
  • Having a document notarized does not verify that the information in the document is true or legal, it only verifies that the notary has witnessed the signature of the person signing and has verified their identification.

The library has several meeting rooms that are used for library programs, meetings and events. We understand that the library is a desirable place for individuals and groups to gather in the Oshkosh community, so we also make our meeting rooms available to the public at times that they are not in use by the library. Please note that public use of the Dome (referred to as Waters Building or Great Hall in the Meeting Room policy) is intended for special events and costs $300 per hour, including a $100 non-refundable deposit.

Contactless, curbside pickup is available for your convenience! Appointments are optional.
Here's how it works:

  • Place your holds. Call 920-236-5208 (Children's Department) or 920-236-5205 (Information Services) to request materials, or place holds through the catalog. Phones are staffed during regular business hours.
  • Wait for a notice that says your holds are available (email, text, automated phone call).
  • Optional: Schedule a time for pickup. If you prefer to schedule an appointment, clink here [calendar appointment link] to schedule a time to pick up your items. If you have questions about your appointment or need to reschedule, please call 920-236-5203.
  • Follow the signs. When you arrive at the library for your appointment, go to the pickup location (marked with a sign) and call 920-236-5203 to let us know you've arrived. If you didn't schedule an appointment, staff will ask you for your library account information in order to gather your available holds. Alternate arrangements can be made if you don't have a vehicle or cell phone.
  • Collect your items. A staff member will bring out your checked-out materials.
