Library Branch
Oshkosh Public Library
Notary
Oshkosh Public Library is pleased to offer free Notary services at the 2nd floor desk by appointment only. Please keep in mind the following:
- You must bring a photo ID. Documents cannot be notarized unless the person signing the document presents photo identification
- Do not sign documents ahead of time. Documents cannot be notarized unless the notary witnesses the act of signing.
If the document needs to have witness signatures, we encourage you to bring your own witnesses. However, library staff will serve as witnesses where appropriate and when staffing allows. - Having a document notarized does not verify that the information in the document is true or legal, it only verifies that the notary has witnessed the signature of the person signing and has verified their identification.
- If you have more than one document to notarize, please adjust your booking time to allow fifteen minutes per document.
- Notary appointments must be made at least one hour in advance so that we can staff appropriately to meet patron needs. If a notary is not available at your requested time, we will contact you to reschedule your appointment.
Please contact Adult Services at 920.236.5205 with questions. Thank you!
