Scams are constantly evolving. We get the message out to never send money by wire transfer and the scammers ask for gift cards. We warn that a credit card company will never just call you, and then it is an imposter fraud department calling instead. The goal of this presentation is to explain how scammers get us to follow their instructions: how do they get us to part with our money. Knowing the “how” can shield us from scammers very effective tactics.
